take a fun vacation in 2008

Cleared Customs and am back in the good ol’ US of A. The trip was good, but short. Sweden was beautiful and the people I met were very friendly and hospitable. Had a great time! Picked up my car in Gothenburg, saw the factory and area, drove to Stockholm, saw the Royal Palace and city museum. What a gorgeous country. Still, I am glad to be home. Everytime I leave the country, as much as I may enjoy my destination, I still feel so happy to come back to the U.S. I feel very proud and thankful to be an American. I’m sure there are people from other nations who feel that way about their countries, too. Everytime I return to the U.S. my heart swells to see the American flag. It’s a feeling I can’t explain.

I leave on Sunday morning for Sweden!!!

I need to finish packing between tonight and tomorrow. I can’t believe it’s almost time!

The countdown continues…

I will be on the plane heading to Sweden! Everything (plane ticket and lodging) is scheduled. Looking forward to getting away someplace new…

Airline itinerary has been figured out and booked and all lodging except for one night has been booked (that last night will probably be figured out later on this week). Roughly 40 days until I leave! I’ve been looking into weather so I can figure out what type of clothing to take. Can’t wait – everything I’ve seen of Sweden looks beautiful. I’m pretty cool with winging it once I get there, although I’d like to have a few ideas of what I’d like to check out.

I’m going to Sweden in May! I’ve never been and can’t wait. Working out the rest of the details this week. This will complete this goal for 2008! Any other trips that happen this year will simply be gravy… :)
