Complete my senior thesis

I am binding my senior thesis tomorrow.

YAY!

“At this juncture, Sarah, this looks fine. Just go with the changes your advisor wants.”

Meeting with my primary adviser on Thursday, getting edits, getting that DONE on Friday and having it bound over the weekend and getting it signed next week.

And then I will be done.

Hip hip, hoo-ray!

Finally compiled it all into one word document. 70 pages and counting!! That is 18,649 words (not including footnotes). That’s a lot of words.

I cannot BELIEVE it’s finally getting to be done… That is pretty much finished except for the conclusion. I need to finish the final chapter, lead it to the conclusion… oh, and write the conclusion. But man. This is the longest thing I have ever written, hands down. And I am super excited.

I keep e-mailing it to myself to make sure it doesn’t get eaten by the computer. I bought the newest Word to help out… it’s sometimes annoying, especially because it refuses to format my footnotes correctly if I create a new document. Boo to that. When you have hundreds of footnotes, you really really really don’t want to have to go through and manually fix all of them. But besides that it’s fine. I was worried about using OpenOffice because my second reader likes to read it electronically and the edits she types up didn’t work correctly with that format.

Nevertheless.

Looks like I will be able to graduate after all! YAY!!

So I got my edits back from my adviser and second reader. I have pretty much finished my three case studies, but I have quite a few paragraphs I need to add, especially on my Liberia case study (the middle one).

was yesterday! I presented my research thus far to the public, and I am still alive, so, things are looking good. My adviser is looking to get my revisions back to me sometime this week, so… starting this upcoming weekend I’ll have lots of fun thesis stuff to polish off.

Very glad the first draft is done, though!

one to go, plus the conclusion. I’m well within the length requirement, so that’s not a problem anymore, I just need to wrap it all up and call it a day.

A giant fantastic WONDERFUL day it will be when I have this thing bound and turned in and DONE.

I ordered my graduation invitations tonight. I am so excited.

47 pages, and I’m done. Emotionally done. I just want to graduate. I have nothing left to say about my topic. I don’t want to read about it anymore. I am tired, and I am done.

Please finish it please please make it stop make it stop please I just want to get out of here PLEASE

nearly 29 pages. Which is pretty much half way. Yay!!

Current goal is to have my full rough draft before spring break (yikes)!!! I’m going to do my darndest.

and made out my schedule for writing. It really isn’t as hard to think about when you break it into little chunks…. although it is still a little daunting. I’m going to the library to get even more books (!!!) and really wishing I had done more research LAST semester.

today is the first day of the semester that I have actually worked on my thesis (don’t tell!). And I’ve only written two pages. BUT, I’ve written two pages! I have my outline, I’m reading a book that I should have read last semester, but whatever, and I have barely 100 days until it is due, bound and signed, to my departmental office. But I am starting it, I will finish the history segments by March 3rd, because that is the deadline I have set for myself.
