I’ve been using my iPhone as my walkman—but a fancy walkman for music and making phone calls on my way to work. As the weather turns nice in Sea-town, walking has become very desirable and I love getting at least an hour in before work. It’s my favorite part of the day.

I went so far as to buy 3 pair of walking shoes this weekend. Well, you can walk in any shoes but I noticed after a couple long walks that dressier leather shoes feel not-so-nice after more than 45 minutes. When out looking for more comfortable shoes this weekend I found 3 pair on sale (Nordstrom Rack, Addidas store and this other joint). So these dogs be a walking and no longer barking.

Maybe I should up it to 2 hours of walking a day? I get so much done on the phone and thinking, to quote Ivan, “in my head”.

I walked a lot this week. Yesterday I managed to walk from Ballard to my home in Squire Park. It took about 2 hours and thirty minutes. I now know two important bits of information.

  • it takes 45 minutes to walk from Ballard to Fremont
  • it takes 2 hours, 15 minutes to walk from Ballard to Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill
