have fun during this weekend's team building session

..everyone turned out to be a good sport and the weekend was over in a flash. The Survivor theme made everything more exciting and really got everyone competitive and eager to win. The hotel was okay, the food was average but the whole experience was definitely memorable. We play all sorts of games including a trasure hunt of sorts and even performed in a so-called Tribe Fiesta. A weekend well spent if I may say so! ;)

..for a weekend of team building. About forty people from my office will be spending 3 days and 2 nights participating in a Survivor-theme session consisting of various challenges and team activities.

As HR, I’m co-organising this trip. And as HR, I’m already getting so many queries and feedback bordering on whiny complaints from my less than enthusiastic colleagues. Yes people, as we get older, the concept of fun becomes too academic it’s like pulling teeth! :p

So while I’m usually pretty easy-going where these things are concerned, I am all too aware of my responsibility to maintain the peace, keep the energy level high and ensure no one goes crazy and endanger themselves.

And that is why I need to consciously remind myself to have fun this weekend!
