Okay, so where in the world is the best place to own property? A number of countries don’t allow foreigners to own property (i.e. Australia, The Philippines, etc.) In some countries you can only lease it or the government may take it from you whenever it feels the need. Once you own the property, do you truly own it, or are you paying property taxes (which are essentially rent). I’ve been searching all over the internet for lists of countries and their respective requirements for property ownership and taxation, but there doesn’t seem to be much information all in one place. Any suggestions?
