LittleWisher is thinking of 43 things she wants to do in her life
Not that I have any troubles with my family, but my last name only is pronounceable for Dutch natives, and I don’t like that. That’s why I’d like to take my husband’s name, if I ever find one with a acceptable name…

when dh and I married, but I couldn’t decide (keep, hyphenate or take his) FYI,I plan to hyphenate. I WISH I had made the change before we bought a house together, because getting the mortgage info changed will be a big hassle not to mention all the usual stuff.
What finally change my mind about adding his last name was the hang-dog look he would get every anniversary. He was so thrilled and that was worth about a million dollars ; )

2LameDogs As I take a step to wish, dream,& do,I imagine an entire galaxy of hope
Have been separated for 6 yrs, started using my maiden name a little over a year ago, but my birth name is from my father who raised me, not my biological father, my name is not who I am.
I want to use the name of my biological father, it is who I am.
I have looked into doing this, can be done quite easily. Even have the necessary paperwork. The cost is $150. now is not the time to be spending $ on this.
But soon :-)

my real name is Michele Malkin [yes i only have one L] and I am trying to break into the art world with my illustrations and photography, but there is already a well know michelle malkin who is a political coorespondent or something. and i also have a cousin who is michele malkin. so i want to change it to prevent confusion.
i want to change it to LaRue which is not just a named i pulled out of thin air, but it was a great great great grandmothers last name.
and it sounds fantabulous with my shortened first name which is Che [pronounced “SHAY”]
i was also thinking of using my great grandfathers name which is Szmon [pronounced Zee-mon] but i figured that people wouldnt have to easy of a time pronouncing it. plus when he cam over from czechoslavakia the silly ellis island people changed the spelling to Seaman. bleck.

I’ve been married for almost 6 months now, and I have yet to change my last name “officially” (on my driver’s license, social security, through my bank, etc.). It’s not that I don’t want to or don’t plan on it – for some reason it just feels so complicated, so I’ve been putting it off. I know I need to do it soon because we need to file our taxes soon…and for many other reasons.
Why can’t I just get it done?!

I changed my last name to a hyphentated name in my first marriage. In my 2nd marriage, I took my husband’s last name. Since my divorce, to make things easy for the kids and I, I kept my name from my 2nd marriage and will until I remarry.
