there's always more to learn 2 years ago

i’ve been watching the news, reading the paper, listening to the radio, generally just been keeping myself informed of the goings on in this crazy world!

    So diverse 2 years ago

Everywhere in the world is so different, it would be amazing to learn about each individual country. But of course, it may take a while!

I really want to do this. I really love world history, and world geography, but I don’t know a lot about it.

Letting this go 3 years ago

I do it in a haphazard way and I’d wanted to make it more planned, but I want to free up my 43 things for more basic and quickly achievable ‘marker’ goals that I can achieve and mark poff so I can get the sense that I can and DO achieve things.

    TV ! 3 years ago

Seem to be doing this only via TV and the internet ! Google earth cam is great !

Having said that the stuff you can watch is not to be knocked – watched progs about Munich Olympics terrorism attacks and the serial blunders by the authorities re this – unbelievable.

Mt St Helens doc with my son last night, he tells me he’s studying this in Geography, so that was interesting – can’t conceive of the scale of that.

Tonight Elvis Presley bio – I wasn’t a fan, but what a phenomenon. Really appreciate his ‘journey’ and do so with gratitude, cos he helped shape ‘our’ times.

Have met some folks from different backgrounds, etc this week – so not all through a screen !!!

watched programme about design and construction of Brooklyn Bridge – what a story and some struggle and accomplishment for one family.

Also War of Worlds original panic broadcasts, Orson Welles.
