of items for the auction. One other parent built a beautiful bookshelf and asked for book donations – so I got a couple of my favorite children’s books for that project. It was interesting to notice how difficult it is for me to ask for anything, even for such a worthy cause!

Hoping to pick up the painting donated by my friend this week. She’s been traveling a lot and it’s been a challenge finding good times for both of us! Still no response to the second request. I worked very hard on the procurement letter; to make it personal but informative about the larger cause – and all in less than one page! I have 2 requests to mail out and 2 I’d prefer to deliver in person.

I’ve written two letters requesting a donation of artwork for the NBA auction this fall. The first recipient sent back an enthusiastic “yes!” they would donate; but haven’t been able to hook up and get the piece yet. No response yet on the second request. Wondering if I should have a goal to send out three requests per week?

Northwest Behavioral Associates is having a fundraiser this year. They are a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides incredible ABA services in the Northwest. They have helped us with Max’s IEPs, school meetings, home therapy – they’re wonderful. With Paco going to school 4 nights a week now I need to consider what I can realistically offer to help with. I want to procure at least 2 items for the auction, that’s a good place to start.
