I hiked through the forest around Tikal in Guatemala and then through the Children’s Eternal Rainforest and the forest around Javillos in Costa Rica. It is beautiful. I watched monkeys, peccaries, squirrels, parrots, tucans, snakes, spiders, exotic birds, frogs, tadpoles, etc. I loved it. I would do it again in a second. Bring a raincoat and bug repellent, wear waterproof shoes, a full waterbottle, a field guide is nice and a good camera that can withstand moisture.
