Pretend_Artist I'm going to change my life over the next year as much as i can
I hate to say this, but my dad.
He brought me up with animals of all sorts, he taught me not to be afraid of them, but still be weary, and he filled me with knowledge about different animals.
This gave me a passion for animals, and animal care. I got my HNC and part HND in Animal Care, and suprise a lot of the lecturers because i wasn’t scared of the animals the other students were scared of. i.e an agressive dog…i tried my best with him, but he bit me twice and the lecturer decided to not let me or anyone else take him out again. there was the ferrets too. They can be quite bad for biting people now and again. I didnt falter because i had ferrets as a small child (i remember falling asleep on the couch with one snuggled into my neck sleeping!). i better stop now, i’m bragging too much, sorry!

This may sound extremely silly, but she’s a character in a book by Robin Hobb (see my book review section). She was all about freedom, and the right to have what a man has. Her society was full of rules..she should be married with children by now…she is not a man and so cannot captain a ship.
To me is outlines the fact that not so long ago, and even still, women are undermined, even though they can do a job so much better than a man can at times.

I know it’s a bit cheesy, but he actually has in many ways. I think the first time he got to me was when he read at his mother’s funeral only after a few months that we had gotten together. He was so strong and brave. It made me stop and think. I’ve just witnessed true sadness, how can i keep complaining about things everyday that i know will change. it might not be tomorrow or next week, but it will change.
then there’s the times i’ve been upset or angry at someone at he’s told me not to let it get to me. Yes i know a lot of people say that, but it really is easier said then done. The thing is, i’ve seen him rise above people who have been horrible to him and just shrug it off. I’m not completely there, i still take a lot of things to heart, but i’m not as bad as i was.
there are loads of ways he’s inspired me that i couldnt possibly count. So i thank him for making me an altogether better person wether he realises it or not <3

17. sarah. (different sarah) who has been dealt a hard hard. a very hard hand. and you’d never know it if you didn’t know her. i’d like to be that positive. i strive for it every day i know her.

15. People who dream. Who dream bigger than themselves. All of them. Everyone who does that inspires me to want to dream for more, and try for more in my life. When I see people on here who have BEAUTIFUL goals, it inspires me to be more beautiful in the things I say and do and the person I’d like to be. I aspire to be like those people, and that is clearly something that inspires me.

Beth trying to figure out what i'd like to do with the rest of my life
1. my mother. obviously. she’s an inspiriation and she helps me push forward towards the things i want to do.
2. my grandmother. because she was beautiful and she was honest. and that goes for both of them. they inspired me in different ways but i’m going to count them both here.
3.
4. grace kelly. i figured i couldn’t just list my family. beauty is inspiring. especially the transforming kind. i always wanted to be the kind of person who could glide from one thing to another like her. be one person one day and another the next and no one would think anything of it.
5. jonathan. he’s a lot of the reason i went back to school. his hard work every day reminds me of a way i’ll probably never be but i can strive to be. even when i’m quite upset at him i still am in awe of him.
6. sarah. she’s my best friend and the smartest person i know. and possibly the most fashionable as well. the way she carries herself makes me wonder if i could ever be anything like that and glad that if i’m not ever going to be that way- at least someone is…for the rest of us.
7. the inventor of spider solitare. haha. but seriously, i think so much when i play that game it sorts out my head and helps me put things into perspective. reminds me of what i need to be doing and the things that i should most likely stop.
8. i’m inspired by berthe morrisot. she painted my favorite painting of all time. among many other reasons. she was really quite impressive- and actually quite ahead of her time.
9. my father. all his books about france and the 1920’s and hemmingway. he’s the reason i fell in love with the sun also rises. well, him and hemmingway. but i think that book may have changed my life.
10. Hemmingway. See above.
11. my grandfather. i never met him when i was old enough to remember it, but i see his smile in pictures and i hope to have the light he has. and when i heard stories of him they were always about how much he loved me. and i’d love to be thought of as someone with that much love one day.
12. carla and turk. i want that marriage. even the bad parts are still perfect and i realize it’s a tv show and the characters aren’t real, however I am inspired by the idea of true love and how when it’s right you can make it through all that crap you have to wade through and still end up happy at the end of every day.

Ahh for the anonymous.. Not only inspirational because of his artwork – though graffiti is one of the biggest passions in my life – but also his way of portraying his thoughts and his way of thinking.
