Gearóid understands cricket ... it's not bad!
I’m looking at all my goals at the moment, and getting rid of some because I’ve made no progress on them (mostly because I’ve lost interest) and replacing them with things that I actually want to do now. It’s an ever-changing list!

Keeping track

I’ve made a spreadsheet for all my goals that have a number attached. It’s pretty cool, it saves me having to calculate things, and works out loads automatically when I put in the numbers. At the moment it shows my totals, percent complete, and what I need per day to complete my goal (especially handy for the steps). This makes things very handy!

So it begins

For the last week or two I’ve been settling back in to the non-college life. I had the day to myself today, and worked on loads of the goals, so I feel the summer has finally really started. Of course, the awesome weather helps too. :D

A new summer and a (mostly) new set of goals. I’m even more determined this year, and I believe I can achieve that vast majority of these goals!

Gearóid understands cricket ... it's not bad!
I’ve just painted my wall and put up the numbers of all my things so I can cross them off when I do them. Of course I just realised that the numbers change as I do things, so here’s my list with the numbers as they originally were. This is more for my own reference than anything else! :D
1. do all my things before the end of the summer
2. get a six-pack
3. send at least 200 picture messages this summer
4. clean up my extremely messy room!
5. paint my room
6. give up my phone for a week
7. play guitar properly
8. stop biting my nails
9. learn php
10. cycle 1Mm
11. Type 100 words per minute
12. Get a summer girlfriend
13. read Crime and Punishment
14. only buy a new game after completing five from my list
15. get 5000 gamerscore
16. watch the first series of Jericho
17. get up earlier
18. create a new Bebo skin
19. give up the Internet for a week
20. finish Ocarina of Time Master Quest
21. learn Morse Code
22. visit 43things at least once every week over the summer
23. Learn how to whistle really loud with my fingers
24. find 5 new people to text regularly
25. go straight-edge for a month
26. catch 'em all in Pokémon Yellow
27. finish The World Ends With You
28. write Claire a 20-comment-long Bebo comment!
29. go the whole summer without eating at McDonald's
30. take 2000 pictures this summer
31. Record a song
32. go to the dentist
33. get my Pokémon Pikachu to 999,999 steps
34. finish the website I'm designing
35. watch the news regularly
36. solve a Rubik's Cube in less than 3 minutes
37. become ambidextrous
38. format my computer and start from scratch using open source software
39. finally finish that book!
40. visit St. James' Gate
41. get the Streets of Rage video to 15,000 views
42. watch all the Bond films and read all the Fleming books
43. meet up with someone I met on the Internet ... Claire!
Now, I can mark these off on my wall properly when I do them! :D
EDIT: Changed number 27 from “finish Pokémon Diamond” to “finish The World Ends With You”. I figure I was never going to finish Pokémon Diamond, but I really want to play TWEWY, so that’s better!
EDIT 2: I changed “get fit” to “get a six-pack”, because that’s what it’s really about! :D
EDIT 3: I changed “cycle 1000km” to “cycle 1Mm”. It’s the same thing, but a megametre sounds so cool! :D
EDIT 4: Changed “watch every episode of South Park” to “go straight-edge for a month”. It’s quite the personal challenge, but I can do it!
EDIT 5: Changed “finish No More Heroes” to “only buy a new game after completing five from my list”. It includes No More Heroes, so it’s more of an expansion!
