Still no admittance to school 13 months ago

Didn’t get into nursing and radiology tech school. I lack the required references.
Thankfully, my wife is a nurse and is doing well as a travel nurse. We may be traveling with her soon and I’m looking forward to the adventure. Well, I guess it can be called an adventure.
I need to put more focused energy on my business but its difficult to do while taking care of two kids. I’m considering a new business that would likely provide more immediate income for the time being.

Need a Job/Career 18 months ago

I need a new job. I need a career. I have a long list of choices but it will be difficult and costly to get into school for most of them.

Closed! 19 months ago

Well, everything went well. I closed on the sale of my old home and closed on my new home! Got everything moved in and now it’s time to make it my own. Less to clean, Less yard to mow, Less property taxes, Less insurance, and the best of all…Lower Mortgage Payment!!!

2 steps forward 3 steps back, wait, WHAT?! 20 months ago

So am I the only one who feels like the harder I try to get ahead the further behind I seem to fall? My husband is a full time student so I have the only income for our family of four. Just when I think that we’re getting to a place where we can begin to exhale, something crawls out of the wood work and we are left back in the tight space we just crawled out of, or worse! Why do cars have to break down when rent is do? Why do we run out of diapers and toilet paper right after I pay school tuition? And really since when does thirty dollars only get you milk, eggs, bread, and some ground beef and baby food costs more than adult food for 1/4 the amount!(SCREAM!!) Sorry for venting, feeling frustrated!

Sold! 21 months ago

Well it’s not sold till it closes! But, I did get a contract on my little cracker house on Friday. I found a smaller home of 630 sq. feet…wrote an offer, cross your fingers! I hope they accept my offer! I will make it look like a cottage! This will make my financial situation soooooooo much better. Hope to close my October 31st!

My first step... 22 months ago

Ok, here I go… I have taken my first step! I have listed my home for sale. The market sucks right now but my home is priced right. My Realtor is from Boston so, she appreciates the type of home I have and will market it accordingly. It’s a scarry road ahead but, I look forward to the “Finish Line”.

Stick it to the Man 23 months ago

I am sick of killing myself to live.
I purchased a smaller home thinking that I would be better off financially but, it was built in 1928 and is always needing something fixed. The electric bill is higher than I expected also. I have come to the conclusion that I love my home to much to be the one who let it crumble…I feel I must let it go. I only have two small credit cards bills besides my mortgage. If anything was to happen to my current car, I would not even be able to afford a (good used) car payment. I could sell my home and get something smaller…I want to simplify my life…less junk that I don’t need.
Work, pay bills and no money to do anything…I believe it is time to “Stick it to the Man”!

I’ve lost over $20,000 trading futures. I have $2,000 left in my account. I have a $24,000 car loan and $7,500 in credit card debts.. I have $7,500 in student loan debts and more to come.

I passed up several stocks to invest in because I wanted to make trading a career.

I really wanted to prove my success in the markets and provide a comfy retirement for my parents. Now I have to live with the loss not only with myself but with my daughter as well.

Don’t have to be rich, but to have enough not to have to worry would be nice.
