pages out of my Head First javascript book the other day…and can now do a script for an “interactive” irock. No, please, hold your applause ladies and gentlemen—i don’t want to get conceited!

a crappy day while volunteering at the lib last week, part of which included having a patron tell me i was stupid. that’s not the exact word they used but close enough. anyhoo i felt panicky (and, i’ll admit it, depressed) and decided to brush up on my web skills so i re-read bits of my css/xhtml book and i’m working a bit more on my website project.
i learned a little about motion and shape tweening. be still, mine heart.
some reason i’ve been less enthusiastic about this lately. maybe b/c i’m worried about getting a job, and having stress-related health probs—nothing serious (i hope) just enough to keep me off balance.
ergh.
Learn To Program by Chris Pine. Wrote my very first easy peasy Ruby program today.
out that my internship may not include web design after all. the dept of the lib i’m in would like a sep site but probably can’t have one b/c of legal reasons…and if they keep it in-house it would be their webmaster’s responsibility. :0( but i’m still doing a mock-up of a sep site and hosting it on my web server for practice. i’ll check w/ supervisor to make sure this is ok. i’m just bummed b/c this is my main area of interest.
read about 15 pages of my PHP book; went through online tutorial for about half an hour.
could anyone give me an idea of which ones i should learn first? or which are most important?
i was thinking:
Dreamweaver
C+/javascript/PHP
Flash
Photoshop
Ruby
Ajax
