I used to laugh at the people who would talk about soul mates, thinking it didn’t exist. Je has proved me so wrong. They do exist, and now I’m a silly romantic. I so wish for everyone to have this sort of love (if they want it, of course).
Je has sweetly been supporting me in reaching my goals, too! What a great guy.

but he’s hanging in there. Still the kindest, strongest, funny, most loving man I’ve ever met.
Gods, I love this man! I am blessed!

I have been going to the local pagan store, which opened last year, on a semi-regular basis. It’s owned by an awesome retired couple, one of which is a cop. He offered to mentor Je through the process of applying and has been very helpful. Je filled out the paperwork and he is going to personally turn it in with a vouch for him. Wow. How truly nice of him to do that for us.
So now we wait, and see what the next step is. I know Je will be a great cop.

Je’s going to a job fair this Tuesday, now that he’s graduated college. He’s seriously underemployed (but employed, go Je) and I am here cheering him on to find a job that makes him happy and pays decently.
And on the not-so-serious front, we are co-parenting (lol) our new bunny rabbit and doing lots of quests and stuff on our favorite video game. Quality time on the cheap.
I’m so blessed to have this guy.

Jamie Hinds The Time to be Happy is Now, the Place to be Happy is Here.
I supported him and got zip, zero, zilch in return. A pretty unfair trade. I sacrified my dreams, my jobs, my friends for him. And I just got slapped in the face.

It seems like his long-term goals have been put on the sidelines since we enlarged our family with our very welcome addition – our daughter Emma. He has become more preoccupied with providing for our financial needs, putting his studies on hold to be able to work more hours… while I work less hours and stay with her as her primary caretaker. I am not sure how we will make our goals (as individuals and as a family) work out financially but there has got to be a way!!!! I am keen on supporting him fully and cheering him on along the way… sometime even nagging him to make sure he does not forget that there is change ahead if he decides to reach for it!

I think we’ve decided that in a few years we will both move back to the states and pursue Master’s degrees together.
I’m getting excited to be a student. I think it will be soo enjoyable for us both to be students again.
