It seems like so many goals I read on here, and my own included, are vague and have no measure as to when they will be accomplished or what it takes to reach them. Maybe the people who have written the goals have entries that I haven’t read that go into further detail, or maybe it’s a matter of when the author feels they have reached them, but either way, it got me to look at mine a little deeper. What does it mean to “do more yoga”? More than what? Obviously more than I’m doing now, but by how much? 5 more minutes per day? Two more days per week? I’m going to go back over my goals and actually give myself a time frame-or at least some more structure-to my goals. Otherwise, I feel that I’ll just keep putting them off for “when I have free time”, which is close to never right now with school. I have to make these happen. SO! That being said, I will do yoga 3 times a week for 30 minutes; I will keep track of this on my huge desk top calendar like I do with everything else!

I want to bring Yoga back into my daily routine. I did it everyday for almost a year and then stopped because of illness. Switched to meditation to work on breathing. Looking forward to having a calm holiday.

or on the road. I love my yoga studio/teacher, but I travel frequently and have missed her classes too many times this summer! I need to get better about doing it by myself.

My teacher commented at the end of class last night how much better my breathing is. I feel like I stand up straighter all the time. I will try a mixed level 1 and 2 course next week.

I’ve been out of town for the holidays and haven’t done yoga in three weeks. I did manage to take one class during the week of Christmas, but it wasn’t enough. I’ve been trying to do some at home at night on my own. But my house is cold (making a smaller ecological footprint) and my muscles don’t get as warm. Plus I don’t feel I’m very good at pacing (yet).
Thursday before class I locked myself out of the house, and by the time I got back in I was late. I will try again tomorrow morning…

I got a pretty simple, straightfoward book about yoga, and have been doing it, even got my husband interested and we set up the living room like our own little studio, with candles and insense and music…..It makes exersizing alot more fun that one wouold think.(even if I lack the skils to spell it)

I’m trying for one class a week at the Y. It isn’t much, but I figure I can bump up the number once I get back into the habit.
