WakeUpLaughing..! is feeling beautiful today
A quirky, fun, interesting magazine based on one of my weaknesses – random facts! Something EVERYONE should definatley check out, it’ll surprise you! It did me…
=)
annamaria08 is exploring possibilities
a small weakness.. smart ones and trash reads – hbr and us weekly, rolling stone and runners world, blender and vogue, wired and W. :-)
And I’m not talking that Cosmo crap. A great woman’s magazine is BUST, “For Women Who Have Something To Get Off Their Chests.” And it’s not porn, I swear, haha. I also really love Martha Stewart Living, just cause I’m a sucker for crafts. As well as Gothic Beauty, and Renaissance Magazine. I’ll get an Oprah magazine every once and a while too. Oh, and Playboy DOES have good articles :-P
“Good” magazine. I love you.
Well, for now.
I guess.
Of course, I remember another love from many years ago. (I even had a home-made map published in it. It showed where the dogs of Westhampton, Mass. lived.)
Sigh.
Tropicana Hana Has become a RADIANT RED HEAD and looks so good ♡
Hobo and Look-Look.
1. if you are an amateur artist under 31 you can submit to look-look. Everything in their magazine is user sumbitted. It’s for the art of youth culture, with illustrations, photos, journalism and prose ect. I had a haiku published once. It is a world magazine I find everything in it so interesting. Only comes out seasonally I think I get it at borders. http://www.look-lookmagazine.com
2. I bought my first issue of Hobo because of a beautiful cover featuring a b&w Noam Chomsky photo and the by-line that was “unf*ck the world” (which I stole as my sort-of life mantra). It’s a bit pretentious art fashion travel culture magazine, I felt very intellectual reading it in public. The photos are stunning. This magazine comes out, whenever they want I guess. Not enough! http://www.hobomagazine.com/
Maybe I do love it.
Right now, if you subscribe online ($20 for 6 issues), they will give 100% of your subscription price to the organization you choose from a list. So, in other words, a great organization gets $20, and you get a neat magazine.
Also, they have tons of online stuff to look at.
Could this be the one?
I love it, but… too ranty? (Is there really such a thing?) Too serious?
