Read 15 volumes of poetry

He’s supposed to be one of the most influential contemporary German poets. I read his first collection of poems. Some images he uses just blew me away, they’re so great. But I only liked about half of the poems. Maybe I’m too ignorant to see the merit of the rest. A lot of his stuff just sounds like he’s taking rough notes that might be turned into something good, but he presents them as raw material.
