I decided to do a blog for one year to document a year long trip my husband and I are taking:

LiveJournal was great, but it went crazy this year and the sale to SAP can only spell more trouble. I’m so glad i got out when i did.

I now use a WordPress blog, hosted on my own domain name, where i get to decide what i want to write about and nobody is going to put age warnings or superfluous LJ-cuts all over it.

I use OpenID, Gravatar and RSS feeds (using Bloglines) to retain a sense of community.

It’s a cool way to speak out your ideas I guess!

This has gone quite well so far.

I suppose I need a new year’s resolution for this. Although once the publishing process starts going I will have plenty to report.

I have written a blog for over a year now and been regular for at least a month.

I have just managed to post semi regular posts including a poll on my Book cover for Mihte ’s Quest; Kids in the Underworld and the first of The Jo Badpenny series of books. That is the attached illustration of the pathetic Jo.
