doing pretty darn well. Unfortunately yesterday I was super cranky, and it was a Great day to be working in the ER…. I am not exactly sure what my issue was but I felt sort of dumped upon by the triage nurse who is actually sort of an idiot. Now, on my day off I have a great deal of regret for being such a meanie.
I’ll be back to work tomorro, and hopefully can make a clean day of it. Regardless of who is doing triage or what is going on.

so this is always a good sign. Entertainingly…this occurred after I came close to a knock down drag out arguement with a Doctor…charge nurse told me later that I actually scared him because I seemed somewhat mean…but still. Doc was wrong, and apologized for being a jerk. So I guess I am alright in the world of Golf Carts.

recieved from both the charge nurse and also the nurse manager. So I think I’m doing well. We’ll see what continues.

This for me, is going to be a difficult contract. The acuity of the patients is very very high, and there is a lack of organization on top of my own inherent lack of organization. I’m hoping that in a few weeks, the dread will leave me as I get ready to go to work.
Charge RN’s keep telling me I am doing a good job, but I hate this feeling of being behind the 8 ball…

I have been dropped into the lap of luxury. this hospital has “solariums” (for real with really nice views), hardwoods in patient rooms, levelor blinds…and flat screen tv’s for the patients.
I just came from the heroin captial of the U.S. so its sort of a shocking change. I;m worried that somehow i can not handle the increase in volume.
Arrrugh. and they are not used to having travelers, i can tell from their attempt to oriente me, which included a tour of the solariums, but no needed stuff, like the code to get into the supply rooms, and such…hopefully that will all come tomorro.
JACHO is supposed to be making a visit too. i am thinking frankly, I’ve had JACHO at 2 other hosptials this year, how many will be enough??
