Queen Esther is running errands and then she's hitting the gym. (Hard.)
i lost track of time and dropped the ball, so this is going to have to be a belated happy birthday—but i’m sure you had a bit of fun, and i’m hoping you write about it soon…

Sorry I’m late. I’ve been out sick. I hope you had a wonderful birthday filled with giant cats and giant presents!

Happy birthday, Emily! I wish you four luscious movements for four luscious instruments, an occasionally tidy home (but not too often), a memorable long weekend, and an in-person audition from a male Zoothera naevia (you might have to come to Northern California for that).
Well, as it seems the earth has made another trip around the sun. I hope that this cycle will be far more joyous and momentous than the last.
Happy Birthday

Todd Schoonover Should really be sleeping now.
Emily and I have been cheering and commenting to each other for a couple years now. Sometimes it comes in spurts, while other times it’s pretty steady. I know though that even if we aren’t cheering each other regularly, that we’ll return to cheer each other again. In fact, I was going to make her my haiku crush of the week today for her birthday, but Violet Sharp’s CD arrived bumping the birthday girl from my crush spot. Don’t worry though, Emily will get her own crush haiku soon. Here are my wishes for her for the coming year:
May she treat her body as a temple daily, flossing and rinsing more so that she recognizes the beauty within and becomes attuned to it to know when she is really out of kilter (thereby overcoming hypochondria). May she have interesting travels, whether it be back to Israel or just birdwatching so she can see a varied thrush. And may she start putting things away when she’s done with them, so that she keeps her house neat.
