upallnight ready for a change.
I have nothing against the sisters who still perm, however I won’t ever do it again.

Since I want to keep my hair up in “06, I will let this go; not to say that I won’t do it because by the summer I am going to braids and twists, but for now, i will rethink my strategy;

I think about this and I’m gonna be honest, I want my hair to look nice and not like no bush although to be totally honest, that’s what I got and I love it; I know I got a problem with this and need to rethink my strategy; Peace.

I’m rethinking this one ya’ll; I love my nubian queen self, but I wonder… I love my hair looking great; yet, I know a sister who is natural and keeps her hair looking great; She gets it pressed. Yet, I have been doing some reading and thinking, and I tend to feel that them chemicals can mess up your head(internally) and thanks to me learning a little Chemistry; Ok, I took some, but you know, I didn’t pass, but I know some things to keep my butt out of situations that don’t smell or look cool; Anyhoo, we shall see;

My last relaxer was in September 2004. I love the freedom of my natural hair. I can swim and walk slowly in the rain. I can wash my hair everyday. As soon as I learn how to achieve some hairstyles….I’ll be well on my way.
brownsugarbear01 is looking forward to 2010!
The last time I had my hair chemically treated was in 1994. It took me about another year to shave it all off and then 5 years to start the dredlocs. I don’t miss my hairbrush and comb and I hope I never go back, despite what family say.

I have been considering this a while; And watching these ladies being straight up about it and knowing that I plan next summer to go to braids/natural hair because down here in the deep deep south, it really don’t make a lick of sense or any of my hard earned money to do this; So, I proposed to just get my hair braided; I want to get it twisted just to see how I like it and then go from there; I remember my sister had some nice permed hair, and by 1998, she chopped it all off; Four whole years before she became had cancer; I am tired of bad hair days and I want to feel good about me and who I am; Perhaps, this is the way.
Chemical free hair requires a lot of patience and care but I’ve been relaxer free for almost 10 years and would never go back to the creamy crack. I wore locks for 3+years and combed them out this spring. I love my gigantic afro:)
