How I did it: I started about 2 years ago. At first i only wanted a guitar because i was a big spender, but eventually one of my dad's employes helped me out and taught me a song. I was so inspired i decided i would actually try to learn. At first it was a pain doing some basic chords because i would have to stretch my fingers, so i took a break for three months because i was lazy. Well later on my sister told me she could play this song that i liked, … Read how I did it…

How I did it: Practice, practice, practice, and a lot of patients. What I did is pick a song, one that I really liked and I looked up the tabs and no matter how hard it was, I practiced for hours and days until I could play it. Then, I picked andother song, then another and another untl I finally learned all the chords...Well I cant say I an expert at guitar or a guitar pro but I'm good enough to play almost any song and good enough to check it of the … Read how I did it…

How I did it: I joined the Folksinging Club at my high school in the 10th grade. I wanted to be Bob Dylan, or Woodie Guthrie, or even Arlo Guthrie. I practiced chords and fingerpicking styles like Cotton Picking and Travis Picking. I listened to the guys above and to Joan Baez and Judy Collins and Tom Rush. I had a local friend who played very well and inspired me. Her name was Kathy Rote. &nbs… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I learned progressively. Slowly playing genres that get harder and harder as you progress. I started out playing emo music. Now I play straight-up death metal (the music i listen to anyway). Learn songs from bands, learn excercises, practice them, and you will be great. You can hire a teacher if you want. i taught myself. It all depends on your take on things. Teachers give a lot of technical aspects. I'm not a tech guy unless it's tech d… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I played guitar for 6 years... It all started when I was 11, and I thought that guitar was 'cool', learned my basic chords, got hooked and now I kinda play obsessively about 4 hours a day on a bad day xD! It becomes comforting to play if you're going through a bad phase in life and you can just whip out the guitar and express your emotions through it :D. I'm one of those people who want to master the instrument and music, and one day make… Read how I did it…

I found a lot of free lessons online using YouTube, obeyyourmattster.com and other sites. I particulary like justin sandecore, Farratt” channels. I can learn at my own pace and replay as many times I want.
Bionbada wants change.
It’s about 3 months now.
I remember when I first received a guitar from Seo.
At that time, I practiced at my home myself.
But it is not continued for some reasons.
So my guitar waited me alone for months.
One day I’ve heard that internal volunteer club will found in my office. It has contained playing guitar for day-care center and so on. It was very good chance to me. I joined it, atteded every week, and practiced hardly but happily.
I can play some songs now. I couldn’t imagine that before.
I will practive more, so I’d like to play many CCMs that I like in the future.
Kaivalya likes to practice guitar during Law & Order reruns
I’ve been taking lessons sporadically this summer. Right now, I’m on a one month hiatus from my lessons – I’ll resume September 21st. Still practising, though.
I’ve learned several new songs in the past four months:
‘Early’ by Greg Brown
‘I’ve Just Seen a Face’ by the Beatles
‘Me and Bobby McGee’ by Kris Kristofferson
The two songs I’m currently working on are:
‘Heart of Gold’ by Neil Young
‘You Ain’t Going’ Nowhere’ by Bob Dylan
And I have some great, guitar-related news: During the winter, I put an Alverez MC90 Classical Guitar on layaway and faithfully made payments on it every week. I brought my new ‘baby’ home in May and I love it! It has an amazing sound. :-)

I AM doing this…with the help of the internet. I am using Youtube and search for guitar how to’s and bingo! there are many people willing to help. Some good , some not so, but they know more than I do and everywhere I search , I find help that is most needed. I like it because contrary to regular class, I can go back and forth and sometimes in detail with the videos. I am also practicing my singing with the help of a friend.
