To find organic bamboo wool. I’m very sure I want to rid my life of animal products and wool is no exception. It’s ten a penny on American websites but I’m finding it difficult to find any UK suppliers. The search continues.
On a knitting-related note, I want to broaden my future knitting portfolio to a scarf and hat, preferably matching the mittens :)

But I want to make myself a pair of cutesy mittens by the time the cold weather comes back (not that it’s really gone away).
Practical? No.
Adorable? Most definately.

I lost my last pair last week, what was really a pity. But now I´m going to make new ones which is not to bad either, because it´s a nice challenge. Now I am in the act of designing the pattern – something Fair Isle/Norwegian/Latvian. I want them to be convertible and with the pattern – I am really keen on making them.

I finished the pair in about two days. I used the mitten pattern from Stitch ‘n’ Bitch but used yarn I had on hand. The right one is a wee bit smaller than the left because I made a mistake, but it fits better! Oh, and I was running out of the main color so I used the cuff and hat yarn for the thumbs. I like it because it breaks up the kind of boring beige.
Next is to knit a pair to match a hat I am knitting for my niece for her birthday. Shhh, it’s a secret!

I want to knit a pair to match funky hat #2 that I knitted for myself. I think there is just enough yarn left over to use for the cuffs, and my very first practice skein for the main sections. What a nice coincidence that they match!
