emergingC meeting people where THEY'RE at

    the revelations 20 months ago

    1. Life is hard work, work hard.

    2. Creative endeavors that include other people is a basic need for you.

    3. I have so much of what I want.

    4. I am so close to getting even more of what I want
    (including eliminating some tolerations.)

    5. Being at peace with previous uncertainies (I will live in my current house any more years, consider it “home” and feel like it’s home- embrace it, love it, make it mine with my touches.)

    6. Accept love when others are offering it.

    7. Paradigm shift- keep my house “guest ready” as a way to love my friends and neighbors… that is, everyone needs a nice place to go and feel loved and comfortable. I want my house to be one of those places (for them.)

    8. Number 7 helps me release myself from the burden of the near constant state of being uptight about my house. This burden and anxiety keeps me from my need for community and deeper friendships because I’m afraid to invite people over spontaneously or even later on (the burden of being uncertain if I can get it clean in time.)

    9. You cannot be happy if you place all of your happiness in tomorrow (and tomorrows things) that way you are always waiting to start being happy. You have to realize deeply what you have to be happy about every single day. Think about the 70 year old you and how the little tollerations and irritating things will seem like nothing when you look back on the great accomplishments and the great love of you and your husband and the great kids you have. See that greatness in the small and large RIGHT NOW, TODAY. (JB says, Want what you have.)

    10. Create a spirit of “community orientedness” within myself, then within my family, then with others (friends and neighbors.)

    11. Keep making those master lists of goals and prioritizing to get what’s most important to me.

    12. don’t turn into… the bitter old woman like T.

    13. Get what you need, just get it. (like the woman’s retreat to refresh myself instead of lamenting for why my life is this way.)

    14. Don’t lament (be proactive and set your sights on what you really.. can.. do.)

    BRUSH THESE UP-
    13. Don’t lament (instead of lamenting about why things are in an unpleasant state, be proactive and throw all your energy into getting what you DO want.)

    14. don’t grow into a bitter old woman (see #13- Don’t lament!)
