have a pet hamster

I have kept hamsters for 9 years now, dwarfs and Syrians. I love them, they are the best small animals to have as pets. They’ve very easy to tame and ideal if you want a pet you can interact with but you don’t have the time/money/space for anything else.

i used to have a pet hamster named pepper (at the same time, i had a rabbit named roni, they were both gifts from a friend and were already named when they were given to me :P). he was very smart. i never kept him in a cage but he had a box to sleep in, whenever i want to see him, i call out his name and he comes out of hiding. he likes to climb curtains and he loves cheese!

i think that there really cute and i luv animals so i think it wuld b kool 2 have 1!!!

I got a young female dwarf hampster, and about a week after I got her I came home one day to find that I had 4 more dwarf hampsters. They were very cute… fought like hell, though, once they got older – ended up splitting them up and giving them away.

yes its worth doing he a very active dwuarf hamster and i dont knoe if itsa male of female…had him/her 7 months now and i love the little furball!!

What’s the number of cheerios the hamster can fit in her mouth/pouches at one time? (This is up from about 20 a few weeks ago.) You keep handing her cheerios, one after another, and she keeps stuffing them in her mouth and reaching for more. Then finally, with great difficulty, she tries to crawl back to her food stash area to unload the cheerios, but her cheeks are wider than the narrow tubes!

It’s actually my son’s hamster. I told him that he’d better quit doing that until he’s learned the hamster heimlich maneuver.

There are so many cool things about having a pet hamster – the absolute best being the cute noise he makes at night when he is running on his wheel. Pokey is the man. I would highly recommend getting a pet hamster – they are so much fun, and really easy to take care of!

was his name and i loved him :D he was tan and white, a smart little booger and got out of the travel cage twice and i woke to him crawling on my pillow >.<

The best! It’s like a tiny dog…in a way! It’s smart, loyal, cute. AND it’s tiny! I recommend it!
