I really really really want to be in a commercial. I always have, but never pursued it. How do I get started. Should I trust any of these websites that let you put your name out for free?
How to be in a commercial
How I did it: Ok, so i went to a model agency, i registered myself and i waited 6 months, i received a message on my cellphone if i wanted to take part in a new commercial for a party and i said yes.
It was awesome. My job was to take the tram and standing on the balcony watching the sunperdition and ofcourse partying with some friends (three girls who were also been cast for the job). I received 300 dollar and there was food and stuff.
It is fun to see myself on the tv right now on 4 channels. If they post the commercial on youtube, i will let you know. Sorry for my bad english by the way.
Good luck to everyone.

Have my head shots finally done, now I need to print out some and give them to my friend, who is an agent, for review.
ShootForTheStars is dying of boredom.
I love to act. I’m trying to get into an agency. I found a good one, but its taking too long for me to get my headshots done! I need to get them done, put myself out there, try hard, and get a job. Whether its a commercial or an extra in a movie or something, its good to start out small.
It’s kind of funny, because I really wanted to do some acting when I was younger, but never got the chance to. Now that I have a regular day job, I recently was asked to appear in a commercial for the business next door to where I work. It’s only a small local commercial, but I’ve been approached by several people who have seen me. It’s pretty funny to hear their comments, and it makes me smile to get recognition for a few moments. :)
I did a National Beer Commercial in the 80’s. It ran 1 cycle which is 13 weeks. Got paid $300.00 for 2 days work, but ended up making $10,000 in residuals over that time period! Go for it!
I was young but it was fun and unforgettable. My mom got to be in it too. And some random guy played the dad. It was a one liner, then a ride through the park on bikes. Great fun!
