How I did it: We covered an empty yogurt container with Model Magic. Next time I'd rather use Play-doh, as the Model Magic was hard to manipulate and wasn't very easy to stick things into. We had to use glue to stick on river pebbles and jewels. Ramona glued silk flowers to the top of the house. We used a wood chip as the door. It turned out pretty cute. Read how I did it… 2 years ago

I have ordered a book that has some great ideas for building a fairy house. I have been spending alot of time outside in the garden at night trying to “tune in” to the Fae energy that is present there.
As a result, some wonderful info and ideas have come to me through dreams. Even Willie has noticed the energy in the garden, there are ALWAYS TONS OF BIRDS!!! They chirp and sing all night….hehe They have been leaving me feathers as gifts, which I will incorporate into the house:) 3 years ago

I have always been intrigued by the fae, and welcome them into my life! But recently, more than ever, I have become almost obsessed. I find I am drawn to all things fae, which has led to me reading and learning more about them. I have been wanting to create a “Fairy Sanctuary” in my garden for a while. I have managed to find some good books and some EXCELLENT websites about Fairy houses. I now have 2 Fairy doors inside, and I have been collecting bits of natural materials to build my first Fairy house. I want to make it sturdy and weather-proof so that it can remain a permanent fixture out in the garden, but at the same time, still be a “green” Fairy house! I really would prefer not to use toxic glues, paints or water sealants. I am a bit time- constrained at the moment, so I will just keep collecting materials and planning for now. I have something very special planned for Lammas this year and I would like to have my fairy house constructed by then…... 3 years ago
