As usual, I filled my car when driving yesterday. At one point I had 5 kids squeezed in it. But that’s normal for me. I definitely believe in carpooling.
Something I don’t do as often, but I did yesterday was sending my son with a bag of plastic water bottles to drop off at a collection box. There is an organization that actually takes cans and bottles in for recycling here. He rode his bike to drop those off.
I also sewed 2 more reusable shopping bags to give away as morsbags. 5 years ago

I have been thinking about Earth day for at least a month or more and wondering what I would do (and keep doing). Since I live about 30 minutes from work I could not walk, but now that I am here I am not going to drive until I have to go home. I will walk to lunch, walk to the meeting later, etc. I have been wanting to be more ‘green’ for awhile now (doing very small things here and there) so today I am officially starting to do more and hope to continue. I have found a recycling center and started separating items that can be recycled, turn lights out and keep them off, not let the water run while brushing my teeth, etc. It’s a small start…
The farmer’s markets open next month and I plan on buying local organic veggies for as long as they are in season… 5 years ago
