Most women and young girls don't need to wear make-up... 4 months ago

I think it’s so sad to see so many beautiful young girls think they “need” make-up to feel beautiful. Case in point, my 19 year old cousin. Beautiful face & hair, feels a compulsion to cream her face out with tons of stuff that makes her look so unnatural. She has also dyed her hair more than a movie star which I’m sure will catch up to her one day soon with the most discouraging and damaging results. All to make her “feel” pretty when she already “IS” beautiful without it.

I’ve never been a girlie girl. I like things simple, and I like them to stay that way. Same with my make-up. I figured out young that if I started anything, I’d most likely create a habit so I thought twice before I started anything, and I’m so thankful that I have. My hair is simple, straight, kept back usually in a headband, but beautiful. I straighten it and curl the ends, but that’s all. My make-up simple, a grey eyeliner and clear mascara. I love the feel of my lips being moist so I use Berts Bees chap stick. And I feel beatuiful!

I eat to live, I don’t live to eat. I never diet, but watch what I eat and eat well. I cheat and eat sinful things only ocasionally, and enjoy every minute of it, but I’m careful and don’t indulge overly much or overly often. I exercise at the least every other day, at most daily and it makes me feel wonderful. Just 20 minutes daily will make a difference in anyones life. From experience I know that I look and feel my worst when I don’t move and try to stay fit. I’m not perfect, but that’s normal and I’m ok with that.

That’s it and I feel very beautiful.

I think this is a great idea, but there is always those red blotches and zits that are embarassing….I will try not to keep wearing makeup and maybe they wont become much of a problem anymore

I have a really really really awful habit of picking at my skin… I am in my late teens and am already beyond self conscious of being around anyone (even my own family) without all of my makeup on! I HATE this because if I could just learn to leave my face alone I would have very good skin – instead it is scarred and blotchy all of the time.. any suggestions on how to learn to leave it alone? Thanks in advance! Good luck working towards your goals!

I spend about 30 minutes per day doing my makeup.
It takes too much time, and all this time adds up.. I could of been doing something worth more of my time with all the minutes I spend doing my makeup.

LittlePlasticTeacups change helps you change, and that can be a good thing.

A big step for me 14 months ago

I went out to the store the other day with only a bit of tinted moisturizer and colored gloss on. Didn’t feel self conscious at all. I think I can actually mark this as done :)
