volunteer belay - ipso facto instructor 16 months ago

Technically, I’ve achieved my goal as stated. As a volunteer at Stone Gardens I’ll be introducing new climbers to the sport and teaching them the very basics about safety. That’s instructing, right? I’m very excited about this new project (and the free membership that comes with it), but let me re-phrase. I’d like to make a partial or complete living off rock climbing instruction. And I’d like to teach outdoors.

    getting started 18 months ago

Currently attending the Mountaineer’s Intro to Rock Climbing class. We’re field tripping tomorrow at exit 38.

Also taking a technique class at Stone Gardens, which is tons of fun.

Starting to formulate a climbing resume, but it currently consists of two top-rope routes ;)

    5.9 Shin Smasher at Feathers
5.10c (supposedly) Pachamama at Socaire, Chile
