I got a film into a film festival! It was nominated for best film! It didn’t win, and still not quite there for completing the goal, but it’s a hella big boost. :D

I want to be a respected filmmaker, hopefully as a career.

i made a film! it got applause at the local student film screening!

I am currently writing two films and working on obtaining the rights for one of them.

A few things that I got out of film school education:
1. I learned to swear (when it’s necessary & appropriate)
2. 5 really bad student films
3. A conviction that being a film major was still a good choice
4. A job as a chyron operator at a local news station, mostly pushing buttons, with no benefits
5. And damn it I will make films

A friend and I are looking at making a short documentary film this summer on a British Mountainboarding team. We should be filming over a long weekend or 4 days mid-week and hopefully it’ll be a piece we can add to the showreel!

i try to be such a perfectionist, which i suppose is good, but i end up never finishing anything i start. i need to just complete something. even if it sucks.
