make films

I’m currently working on two film ideas, which will certainly be completed in one or another way even without extra funding and I realised, I’m truly glad to be in this situation -it gives me both freedom and time. I guess I have to remind it to myself every now and then :)

Oh, I must make a record here too. I really worked to achieve this goal and attended a 2-week summer course this year, where me and my team finished a little fiction film I’m really happy about.

Next step is to get editing tools ASAP (ie after submitting my thesis) and start to work with my documentary footage from the last year.

I got a film into a film festival! It was nominated for best film! It didn’t win, and still not quite there for completing the goal, but it’s a hella big boost. :D

I want to be a respected filmmaker, hopefully as a career.

i made a film! it got applause at the local student film screening!

I am currently writing two films and working on obtaining the rights for one of them.

A few things that I got out of film school education:
1. I learned to swear (when it’s necessary & appropriate)
2. 5 really bad student films
3. A conviction that being a film major was still a good choice
4. A job as a chyron operator at a local news station, mostly pushing buttons, with no benefits
5. And damn it I will make films
