I think I’m going to manage to buy a nice World History book and/or take a semester or two on it. I have AP US Hist credits that clear me from taking these courses but they would def be vital in my other studies. I think to not waste more credit hours, I will buy a book instead and read through it. That’s what I plan on doing for the US History as well because I already got a REALLY nice book on it.

World history 21 months ago

I want to know all about world history! its definately a necessity in all aspects. Starting to read a book seems like the right thing to do, but what book! there are so many..? Would watching a film help better? I mean its hard finding a good source on the internet.. bleg!

Documentaries, and my new book 23 months ago

I have added a good few historical documentary films to my list – they will start posting them out to me soon. :) Oh and I bought a great book in an Antiquarium that sums up the world history up until about 1998 with all maps and events. I will read a chapter or so every morning on the tram once I finish my men are pigs book and the book my mom bought me. :)

Some more history 2 years ago

Better get cracking with my EU integration history notes…exam in 3 days :S

EU politics, EU integration history 2 years ago

This helps a lot, I took a bunch of classes as my minor (EU integration) because I suck at history. I’m improving, but they failed me after writing 5 pages full in EU politics! Bad thing is for this class they assume you know the whole world history by heart…I’m going to take an oral exam to make up for the fail tomorrow…eek!

Australia 2 years ago

I’m going country by county. Today my sister enlightened me that all the brit crooks were shipped there. I just read a few pages on Australian history on the net.

I was taught world history in school and I learned a lot in my EU minor. But I constantly feel that I have basic shortcomings on the topic…I guess you can never stop learning history. I’ve already decided to rent out historical DVDs, and there are also a lot of really good documentary shows on TV and a lot of history on BBC and CNN.

Read NY Times editorials 3 years ago

I will read NY Times editorials everyday. I will also read up BBC.com at least 1/2 hr each day. I will borrow a world history book from the library and read at least 15 pages each week.
