clean out my closets

I have so much junk, that I would like to just throw it out. I can’t do this because there really is a lot of good things in there, but I just don’t have the time to go through everything. I don’t want to donate it to the Salvation Army because they charge people a lot of money for used items ,instead of giving it to them for free.

Well, technically I packed it all up to move… but I will make Josh help me go through it when I unpack to get rid of excess things.

I love cleaning the closets and re-orgin them. It’s a nice break from the winter dull drums. Open up the windows let the break blow through while dumping the clothes on the bed and sorting out what you’re giving to charity!

One of the best things about spring time!

Hi, I have put on alot of weight due to my MS. My legs do not work all the time and I cannot exercise. Anyway, I have 5 full, I mean packed closets full of clothes and alot in small sizes. Alot of them are designer clothes, alot of them with tags still on them. I tried selling clothes on ebay before but I have no luck. So, I would like to donate them to the needed. But one question, would any of you keep your skinny clothes if you gained 4 sizes or would you clean your closets and have room to breathe and donate the skinny clothes to charity? Please help.

Here is a peek at the dreaded Bedroom Closet from Hell. And this doesn’t include the piles of clothes that wouldn’t fit back into the other two closets… that are now sitting in the middle of my living room. I also made a pile for my sister (she needs larger clothes after having her baby), a pile for Goodwill, and a pile for Craig’s List. I’ve posed about six or seven items so far and even got a few hits today! Oh but how I dread this closet!!

This closet is Hokey’s closet / Coat closet / Stuff closet. These photos suck but now Hokey’s shirts are all organized by style, sleeve, and color. His five coats (compared to my lot) are all up front for him. His shoes are organized in a basket and I love how his ties hang so nicely on the new tie rack!

FOUR CLOSETS DONE!! Only the closet from HELL to go. (Insert dread/crying here.)

I can’t believe I finished three closets in January!! (Then again, the rest of my house is in shambles but we won’t talk about that.) Again, I don’t have before photos but take my word – this closet looks a WHOLE lot better. Hokey was very impressed.

Too bad I didn’t take before photos so you could really appreciate the work that was done. We still have TOO MUCH STUFF! I was hoping to make room for baby products. Still, I got rid of a whole shopping bag full of crap.

Two closets down – three more to go!

We only have one dresser… and now it’s the baby’s! (Most of our stuff is now shoved in the “Bedroom Closet From Hell”... that will be the very LAST closet I try to tackle.) Here is a peek inside the baby’s dresser (BUT I already want to re-do it after reading an article on how to organize baby clothes so you SEE and use ALL the clothes. But that shouldn’t take me too long to do.) This was a lot of fun too!
