It helps a lot if you find a didgeridoo with good backpressure.
How I did it: I dont know if the way i learnt is the right way but it works somehow. Ok its kinda like spitting out water. You dont force it out from anywhere but your mouth right? So what I did is I got air into my mouth so my cheecks were puffy and instead of forcing it out with my lungs like breathing I forced the air out by compressing my cheeks and only focing out what I had in my mouth. That was the first half. then what I did was I got the air into my mouth like before and as i forced it out I breathed in through my nose. Because im pretty sure its impossible to us your lungs to breath in and out at the same time. then once almost all the air in my mouth was gone my lungs were full and ready to go. so then you breath out normally for a while and when you start to need another breath you store some of the air in your mouth again and breath in through your nose, then thats it you just keep the cycle going over and over Im probably making it sound really hard but its not and it feels a lot different than what you expect. I actually taught myself this, during a boring class at school. It is surprisingly easy. I felt pretty awesome at the time and was walking around the school doing it. I was then told about a week later that everyone thought I looked constipated with my cheecks puffed out all the time XD
Good Luck!
Lessons & tips: It usually helps if you let the air out slowly by tightening your lips kind of like puckering or pouting. It also helps if you kind of keep a rythm to it. It helps you time it better
Also make sure you breath out from your lungs enough. I dont want you to hyperventilate or something.

I was able to circular breathe after 3 months I started practicing with the didgeridoo. I was trying from the first time but always failed… one day I did it without even thought of it, out of mistake, so simple. Then it took me about 1 week to get used to it and finally this technique became as natural as breathing and I could play the didge for many minutes without stopping.
this is a good page with didgeridoo lessons: http://www.concrescence.com/place

Maybe I’ll get back to this one eventually, but right now, there just isn’t time for it. I haven’t even looked at my didge in months. :(
for 5 minutes with a straw in a glass of water. It’s much more difficult with a didgeridoo.

i took a 4 week class on how to play the didgeridoo, an aboriginal australian instrument, and they taught us how to circle breathe. it’s really hard to get used to at first, but once you get the hang of it, everyone you perform for is SUPER impressed!
