I was watching a few things and they’re done.
I didn’t bid on them.
One of them was a Breville electric cordless tea kettle to take with me to New York.
If I’m not leaving now, I won’t need a second kettle.
I’m marking this as done since I have a car, and can go buy whatever I need whenever I need it now. In New York, I was at the mercy of whatever I could find online, or find in New York and carry back with me on public transportation (limited, since I can’t carry much for very long)

I’d have to say that at least 10 or 12 of them have been rip offs.
Either I get a knock off item (a bad pair of wanna-be Sony DJ headphones that were obviously made in China of cheap, spray painted plastic) or, the item never comes and I end up having to go thru this whole hassle with the paypal account, and the credit cards, etc, and file claims…or it comes but it’s broken, doesn’t work, or was represented as new when it’s obviously seen better days.
It used to be that you could find a deal on ebay and get cool stuff for a fraction of the price…it was worth the occasional risk.
But now, it seems that you barely save a small percentage of the new price, and more often than not you get ripped off.
it got me thru school last year…what with being way up on the northern tip of Manhattan where there was NOTHING, and I could get everything from baking pans for making scones for the nurses, to textbooks, to snow boots, to a down parka on ebay.
I think I’ll find another way to get my needs filled this year.
To hell with Ebay.
