refinish all my wood furniture

Now that the weather has cooled off for a bit this week, I actually started on this project. It is more time consuming than I thought!

I started by buying a liquid stripper and it had to sit on the table for a period of time, then I scrape and clean it off and then will sand it when it dries completely.

With me having other responsibilities durning the week, the sanding may not take place until the weekend. It is getting darker sooner now too.

For now I am only doing the top of the old wooden coffee table. If I see desierable results THEN I will do the sides. Otherwise, I just may sand a little on the sides and add finish as a quick little fixer upper.

I realize now that the other, much bigger piece is going to take quite some time and I will need to find room to leave such a big piece for a period of time. WheW!

It’s not so easy as it sounds!!

I went out last night and bought an inexpensive sander, some paper and a can of stain.

I think I will do at least one piece this weekend before it starts getting too hot and I have to put off this project until the fall.

I am so very excited. I love working with wood and playing with it!
