I am going to Green Mountain College in Vermont. It’s tiny, and environmentally focused, and 3000 miles away from home. I love it more than anything.
the most important thing to remember is finding a school that fits you.
I’m starting on the LOCAL community college first, then then local university. So what if it was the orignal plan? I have done this on my own, and decided that the other options wern’t right.
so i finally decided on a college, and after much freaking out i decided University of Iowa!!!
Well I’m in the same boat. I have a 4.1 weighted GPA which is high enough to easily get me into UGA on the hope scholarship. I have a 1350 SAT, (going to get that to 1400) and I to am a Junior. I could go out of State on ROTC but I don’t want to join the military out of college. I have until the end of the Summer to pick my college and I just don’t know. I could easily stay in state or go to a much better college out of state. Financial reasons make staying in state the best option, but I’m contemplating taking on the college debt. Anyone have advice on what to do?
Where to choose, where to choose?
I’m trying to decide between some pretty great schools and have not been successful in narrowing that list down. Any advice?
I decided on Centre. I didn’t get in Swarthmore, Wellesley was FAR too expensive, and Murray couldn’t even get their aid letters out before the deadline. I will have a significant amount of loans from Centre ($20,000 upon graduating, before I get any other scholarships) but they’re an excellent school where I am guaranteed a study abroad and internship as well as graduation within four years. So, there I go, and here’s to hoping I don’t regret it!
Well, I was also accepted at Wellesley, and refused at Swarthmore. I have decided that, since I cannot afford Wellesley, I will be attending Centre assuming enough financial aid comes through (which it very well should). I am pretty pleased with this decision, since Centre is a very excellent school, and I can essentially go for free. Still, it has yet to be confirmed until I get my financial aid award.
