I have yet to pay for my membership in the Archeological Society of Virginia, and without that, nothing else will follow. I will get the dues off to the socety first thing tomorrow so that I can get this ball rolling… I’m looking forward to what I will experience and learn!

I must join the Archeological Society of Virginia, as that is the state in which I find myself. Through the Archeological Society, I will be able to recieve the materials, coursework and experience required to obtain the certification. It should take about two years to complete this goal. Once this goal is accomplished, I will be a “Certified Archeological Technician” with a time tested, field proven, board certified knowledge of Archeological Laws and Ethics, Anthropological Archeology, Basic Laboratory Procedures, Lithic Analysis, Native American Ceramic Analysis, Historic Ceramic Analysis, Glass Analysis, Metals Analysis, and Ethnozoological & ethnobotanical analysis.
