learn to ride a skateboard

One of those things I always wanted to do, but lack of time/place/health insurance always seemed to prevent me from doing it.

I got a ripstick skateboard for Christmas, one of those bizarre two wheeled skateboards that flexes in the middle. I spent a few hours learning to skate down the street on it. I don’t know what I did or how I twisted myself, since I never really hit the ground, but an hour later I peed blood, so that scared the crap out of me. I guess it’s possible to pinch a kidney if you twist around too far! (I’m pretty flexible, so my back didn’t get hurt.)

i tried again and i realised that the reason why i was stopping is because of the type of ground i was on, but theres not many other places i can go, and it’s getting colder now, so i might not be able to do this within the next few months.. oh well, try again some other time when its NOT raining!

okay.. i tried but every time i tried to put my back leg on the board it stops! and how people ride with their feet away from the corners (like, sideways) i do not know! i have to ride with one forward and one sideways.. i tried for half an hour then found a spider on the underneath so i’ve put it away for now :P

I’m going up north next weekend, so maybe someone has a nice concrete garden i can fall on :D so maybe next weekend, if not.. deffinatly maybe the weekend after :P

I bought a skateboard while i was out, now i just have to find a place to practise, and then try and actually stay ON the skateboard :P

I NEED TO RIDE A SKATEBOARD! PLEASE HELP!!!! All my friends can ride one and they asked me to go skateboarding with them! i got a “GIRL” skateboard for my birthday… I CANT RIDE IT! PLZ HELP!!!

just about every day i let my dog pull me while i ride my skateboard and it is so much fun-

Was a very good time. My son taught me.

Eh, I’ll probably bust my face open when I start trying to learn how, but whatever. It’ll be a great experiance I s’pose!

ok, so i stepped on the thing and it rolled. i guess it’s better to try this outside! it’s really more a matter of finding the time. between working from home, housework and taking care of my baby, it’s hard to make the time to try this. hopefully, i won’t break any bones or injure myself in the process!
