I think I have only gone once or twice, but those experiences (no matter how wet) were a blast!! I can’t wait until I can go again!

when I saw this since it is the middle of winter and everything is frozen solid. I long for the days when it all thaws out and the water runs fast again. That’s living.

that I will have to enjoy next spring again. The canoing days are over around here. Its too dry and the water is too shallow. Bummer! Where does the time go?

am hoping that with so much rain this year we will be able to go canoing once more this Summer. I would love it if we could take the leadership team and spend the day doing this -

again with a bunch – it was fabulous. We went much farther than the last time… Gina, Emma and Mike dumped it while going through a tunnel and Gina got all bruised up – thankfully everyone was ok. Had a great time…saw the dead turtle all ate up by bugs and it’s pretty much just a skeleton… Mark Schuler wants it but I don’t know if I could have it in our canoe for the trip… it’s just too gross.

canoing on Sunday afternoon. It was great! The morning was messy and the nighttime was stormy BUT God was so good to us and the afternoon completely cleared and became sunny and warm. My husband and Mike H were just about ready to push off and I called and they were kind enough to wait for me… It was fun. I saw huge carp, lots of frogs, swallows, blue heron, and water snakes and this huge (dead buried in the water with only its claw sticking out of the water)snapping turtle. I can’t wait to go again.

I love to go canoing. I love those hot summer days when you paddle hard and duck from all the spiders that have built their webs above the water. Where I live there are beautiful things to see in all of about a 3 hour ride. Farmland, quarry, cliffs and swallows darting about, and whistle pipes to go through – it is so much fun. I can’t wait to go again this year.
