    Worth doing!

For the past couple of months I have managed to walk to work most days. Last weekend the battery actually died on my car because I’ve hardly been using it! This is well worth doing. I’ve lost a bit of weight, feel more relaxed and arrive at work fresh to start the day. Even when it is raining I don’t mind the walk!

I do this every day actually.  — 2 years ago

    Worth doing!

My commute is only 15 minutes. No car, no gas, no insurance, no maintenance, less worries.

I work in West Seattle now, and walking on the bridge is not allowed. I am doomed to get fat.

    I can’t anymore
:( This sucks, but it for the best the career is moving forward and I will just have to pursue the walking in other ways.

Though I was really worried it was going to rain on me today.

I arrive for work so much less stressed  — 2 years ago

    Worth doing!

Driving (or even riding) in morning traffic makes me so stressed…I get impatient and frustrated…walking to work gets me there so much more relaxed…not to mention getting in a 5 mile walk in the mornings. (Not to mention the gas I save!!!) I’ve done this several times and plan to continue doing it as often as the weather and other factors allow.

New Job  — 2 years ago

I can’t walk to work anymore. new job is further away. But I have commuting buddies, so I can be good to the environment. Yay. But I can drive now so I can drive to docs appts and such.
    Life is looking up. Yay.

    Worth doing!

I got up and stretched, got out on Saturday after catching up on a little of my web logging and mail. I ran about six miles, and walked the other snaks.

    Worth doing!

Yea! for me. I actually did it. Nevermind that I only did half of the things I normally do to get ready in the morning. I packed everything in my backpack, which is a strange feeling since I’m using to carrying all sorts of things in my hands from the car to the building.

It was nice to see a sunny morning before I crawl into my windowless office. Got the blood pumping and hopefully I will sleep better today. As an added bonus, I really wanted to drink some water, which will help me on my “drink at least 8 glasses” goal.

hides in shame  — 3 years ago

    Worth doing!

Oooh ohh. Not good. Two days and haven’t walked to work yet. Somehow all the routine I have to go through just to get myself out the door makes me feel entitled to drive. Perhaps if I could be happy going to work in gym clothes and sneaks with no make-up on my face and buying my lunch once I got there I wouldn’t mind walking.
