reach 1-dan in Go/Weiqi/Baduk

Has passed since I started this goal, and I am still as far as I was before. So bad…

I don’t know why, but I don’t care about this goal very much right now. I’m not going to worry about it, though, because a hobby is a thing to be enjoyed, and if that stops, you should too. Unless I find some awesome reason to press on and achieve (*on this particular goal, that is), I’m going to just relax and see if the desire ever comes back.

I’m somewhere around 8 kyu right now, but I’ve had no time to work at Go, and my friend that I play with isn’t wanting to play much lately, so I may just have to play online exclusively. Ok, I can do that.

I hope to go in some world best go place for improving one of this time but airplane is not cheap, like the Nihon Kiin or Chengdu

Due to a rank shift on KGS, now I appear as 8k (1 won and 1 loss as 8k). Closer… but not because I got stronger :(

I re-started this goal on 9-9-2006… Now I’m “11k?” on KGS. Closer!

Ok. 1 dan seems far away, but I know I will.

Now I am recovering of a huge down in my game since hardly ever study in the last two months. I reached almost 14 in KGS but fell a lot. Now I am back on 15k for a bit.

Let see if I can reach 14 in the next 2 weeks.

...thinking about playing go. I gave up about two years ago, when I was around 12k in KGS (I didn’t feel that strong, maybe 14k was more realistic). Now, KGS reinstalled and a game at my club last friday, one more tomorrow (I hope). It seems a long and windy road!

I’m currently 3-kyu AGA!! We’ll see how long 1d takes from there!

having played for years, its time to get serious. my son has reached 3-dan. one of my daughters that started playing and coming to go club. reading Hikaru no Go as a bedtime story to my youngest…clearly i have got the bug bad and now i need to get game!
