play electric bass in a funky band

It came in the mail. I ordered it from a webstore called Musician’s Friend for $159. It came with an amp, a tuner, a bag/case and it’s really really beautiful. It’s a dark red wood with chrome tuners and I’m so happy with it. I bought a stand for it at the music store and it’s just sitting here in my living room with me.

I plan to take lessons two times a week for an hour each from now til the end of august.

I went for my first lesson last night.
Okay…what did we do? Right hand and left hand stuff.
Listened to two songs I brought that had really groovy
bass lines. Learned an F A A# riff/pattern that goes with
“It’s your Thing” by the Jackson 5.

I ordered a complete bass package at Musician’s Friend for $159 shipping included. I just wish it would be here before my Tuesday lesson but I don’t think it will be.

I checked out a Yamaha package for $350. It came in black and blue and comes with an amp, bag, tuner and a wire. I do think that I need to get a simple, nice bass until I get good and popular then I can buy a nice one that looks fancy and of course is good quality.

I signed on for electric bass lessons with Malcolm and I am psyched. He told me to bring cd’s of the songs I want to learn. I start Tu~Es Day next week!

I’ve talked to a few friends about this possibility.
so a few things are in the making.

I need an outlet that’s ultra
fulfilling! I want one. Really

that goes beyond what I am doing
now. I need connections. I need
