i think that completing a triathlon would be so rewarding
How to run a triathlon
How I did it: I decided that I wanted to run a triathlon so I just got on the internet and registered for one that was coming up in 2 months. I was in pretty good shape already and bike and run at least once or twice a week so knew I could complete that part. I didn't train the swim at all (but should have, looking back). The swim really exhausted me but about a quarter through the bike I got my energy back and made it the rest of the way with good times. It felt awesome accomplishing the tri.
Lessons & tips: Train all parts of the tri. Have days where you bike then immediately run, and days where you swim then immediately bike. The transitions are tough.

I start this endeavour 3 years ago and I get close and I never seem to get the swim part in…I have a couple of months….it might be more realistic to set this goal for next years triathlon season
tried biking 12 miles. I barely made that one. I’m out of shape, I plan on starting my workout tomorrow morning.
In June 2005 I decided: “On June 20th, 2006 I’ll run 10km, swim 1.5km, and cycle 40km, no matter where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing”
I started with 2km of running—and I was REALLY exhausted after that. I gradually improved in the sunsequent months.
Last week, with the moral support of my dear friend René, I achieved my goal, and it felt GREAT!
So my tip to you: Just set an accomplishment date, and then just do it!!!
