"It wasn't really a thing that I did, more like a thing that I realized."
How I did it: I usually have pretty hilarious friends, and I would always feel inferior to their great, quick thinking jokes, I'm sure you've thought, too, at some point or another, otherwise you probably wouldn't be reading this.
You might find that when you are around people often, you begin to pick up their speaking styles, and their joke styles. So what I did was I surrounded myself with great, funny people who allowed me to be myself, and express myself how I wanted.
Eventually, I got more and more laid back, more friendly, and, oddly enough, more funny. People always laugh at my jokes. But, I also made a realization. I have always been fun to be around and funny, and people have always told me that, but I just didn't really accept this, because the people that I wanted to laugh with me, to love me, really, just weren't there, so I dumped them and got new friends.
I bet that if you want to make people laugh, it's because you have before and you liked how it felt. So you must be pretty funny already. Just be ourself, and you will shine on, as cheesy as that sounds.
Lessons & tips: *Just let loose and go with the flow, unless you are filled with clever jokes, and not-funny person can't do much else to be so. Really, just be yourself.
*Don't try to hard. If you are tense or nervous when you are trying to impress that certain someone with your hilarity, you wan't come off with the vibe you want.
Good luck, I know you have it in you!
