The closet I’ve gotten so far is my girlfriend is traveling through Asia and sent me a panda postcard from Hong Kong. This was after much insistance that she bring me back a panda. Well, if anything, she’s already out there and getting the lay of the land so all the more reason to go back with her someday when she’s a seasoned Asian traveler.

It is completely possible!! In Chengdu, China, you can hug a juvenile panda at the research center there. At $150, it is a real bargain.
I love pandaaaaaaaaaaaa :D
I want to meet them, Hug them, Take a picture with them, andddddd feed themmmmmmmmm <3 <3
I saw this on another site (Budget Travel, I think) a couple of weeks ago, and CNN is running it on its site now:
Panda petting zoo cutest thing ever
But I’d like to go to the reserve in China. I read a story online recently about two people who went out there with a guide and just showed up at the reserve, and one got her photo taking holding a panda.
Then again, pandas are bears and can be dangerous .
I just saw this video clip from the Woolong Reserve near Chengdu, China. Seems like a lifetime must do.
Hurray! If I can’t make it to Tibet, at least I can hug a panda! I got to pet a mother giang panda, and hug a red panda. I didn’t hug a baby because it was more expensive than the others, but it was groovy standing with the giant panda, and the red panda was the cutest thing ever!
well i really love pandas and think they’re the cutest animals ever but, they’re kind of dangerous and i doubt that i would live after hugging one. o.O;
