Get sufficient rest – an average of eight hours is completely helps the most.

that one girl knows that all big changes are made one small decision at a time!
ok, this is a totally irrational sense of guilt, but i feel horrible for our garbage men. lol. I try to be as kind to them as possible, limiting the weight of the bags, keeping kitty litter clearly seperate becuase i read somewhere once where bags of kitty litter blow up when squished and can blow all around, and who wants kitty litter in the face. As i have been emptying the storage unit, i’ve had tons of randomness to throw away so today we had three bags of trash (odd week), a broken window from an old camper that was in our garage for ever, a broken picture frame, old discolored blinds, two bags of kitty litter, a box of unrecyclable paper (envelopes with plastic windows), and a giant pool blow up toy with LOTS of holes. i just feel so bad for putting all of that out there. BUT, we do pay taxes and voted for unlimited trash pick up everyday. where’s the feeling of balance?

this used to say find balance between things i need to do and things i want to do. but those things are not clearly separated in my life. i am more torn between things i feel i should be doing and the things i am required to do by societal pressures. (ei: have a normal life, live in a house and not my car, follow all the rules because that’s what we’ve been told) i need that balance.

Balance is a critical part of life! some people just dont understand how importaint it is. every single thing in life has a balance and it is up you to find that balance for how you want to live. i am currently in the process of identifying what i want to balance in life! i know that there are things like workout, school, work, freinds and family but what most people fail to see is that there is a balance in behavior too! Ex-(some people are mad all the time or not ever mad at all theres a right time for everything and being mad or upset sometimes about something could be a very positive tool motivate change) thats one example of what i mean. Its up to you to find that balance in life and in your personality, habits, thoughts and behavior! thats why this is one of my goals! so good luck to everyone!!

It seems to me that I am always balancing some part… unfortunately all the focus and energy in one direction makes another thing totally out of whack… must work on this.

God, family, health, fitness, career, friends, education, community. Step one: determine if this is a complete list. Step two: determine the order that I value these things. Step three: determine goals for each area. Step four: determine time line for goals. Step five: translate that into daily life. Step six: moniter my progress and adjust as necessary.

I haven’t been on 43things in a year! I’ve made progress on a lot of my goals – slowly but steadily. Instead of waiting for things to happen (or someone to do things with me), I’ve taken more of an initiative. Finding and maintaining balance has been a large part of my life during the past year. I’ve learned to say ‘no’ more often – and to follow through with it. I’ve learned to set aside time for certain things, to follow through with one thing at a time despite interruptions, and to take time for myself. I’ve learned to set boundaries when it comes to family time as well.
Decluttering seems to always be a work in progress. I have gotten rid of a lot of stuff but there’s always more (of course). My clutter corner is gone (!). The apartment has been arranged and rearranged a handful of times. I’m pretty content with the way our home is arranged right now. It’s definitely a place that’s lived in but it looks spacious and comfortable without being too cluttered (most of the time).
I’ve also been making progress with bringing my spirituality more prominently into my life. I’ve been reading a lot of books that have helped me move forward. I’m at the point where I’m starting to incorporate simple but meaningful ways of expressing my spirituality on a daily basis. I’ve also been able to introduce some environmentally-friendly practices into my home. It all seems to be meshing together nicely.
You know, it’s great to see how far I’ve come. :>

I have achieved this goal already…one time wayy back in highschool. Unfortunately as life changes the balance changes too…I am still trying to work out the new one. I am afraid I will find it just in time to graduate uni and face more changes and yet another new balance to search for. C’est la vie.
