not be afraid of thunderstorms

The other day I met a guy who says lightning hit him. It didn’t appear to do him any damage, aside from knocking him unconscious, scaring the bejeezus out of him, and transforming his life. He says it was a visionary experience, in a way he can’t describe, and gave him an understanding of what his life’s about.

Why it didn’t kill him?

Who knows.

I remember that as a very young child that I was frightened by the noise, but for all of my conscious life I’ve enjoyed thunderstorms. Bright, unpredictable flashes, loud noise, drumming rain, awesome power.

it is particularly bad for the last few nights… i keep waking up. no idea, why they bother me so.
