They are about 6 to 8 inches tall now, spread amongst squash and bean plants…

Transplanting into the garen today, they are about 4 inches tall and gorgeous!

I am going to plant them in the yard next door to us—not sure I will still live here for the harvest, but whatever! I wil lbe here for the growings.

The challenge this spring will be to figure out where my yard will be? Am I staying here or moving?
I guess if things are still unsure by early May then I can plant indoor starters.

The first batch of corn from the zapatistas was lost in the mail. The second one didn’t arrive until mid-july – so they’ll have to wait until next year. Meanwhile I am growing plain old organic corn in my front yard next to the sidewalk and it is making EARS RIGHT NOW!
Maybe I’ll be growing this radical blue corn from Mexico in the Yukon next spring???
