I missed meeting him on June 21st, 2008 by 20 feet. He was staying in the same hotel we were the night before his concert at Darien Lake NY.
One Day!!!
His songs make me smile when I feel sad.
That’s probably all I could truely say if I met him.
I am not good with words when I first meet people.. I would stand there quietly with a blank stare like I was some crazy fan or something.
I can’t express how much this man and his music has touched my life. He is the most expressive, eloquent songwriter; he can express in one phrase what others take an entire song to say. His songs are the soundtrack to my life; I believe that if I could amass a collection of all his music, which I hope to do, I could find a song to fit the emotions of every situation I’ve been in. TOM PETTY IS NUMBER ONE!
